Plain-English cancellation information for Kent Websites customers. Last updated 2 November 2026.
1. Business customers
Kent Websites is intended for customers purchasing website services wholly or mainly for their trade, business, craft or profession. Business customers do not normally receive the statutory 14-day consumer cooling-off right that applies to qualifying consumer distance contracts. The agreed package terms, including any minimum term, therefore apply subject to rights that cannot legally be excluded.
2. If consumer cancellation rights apply
If you are legally treated as a consumer and a statutory cancellation right applies, a qualifying online service contract normally has a 14-day cancellation period beginning when the contract is entered into.
If you expressly ask us to start providing the service during that period, we may begin work straight away. If you then cancel while the cancellation right still exists, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied up to cancellation where the law allows. Where the service has been fully performed following the required express request and acknowledgement, the cancellation right may end as provided by law.
3. The £99 setup work
The setup fee covers initial design, build, configuration and launch work. It is not described as automatically non-refundable in every circumstance. Any refund or charge will depend on the work already supplied, the contract terms and any statutory rights that apply.
4. Starter minimum term
The Starter package has a 12-month minimum term. The first payment is £148, followed by 11 further monthly payments of £49, giving a minimum total of £687 excluding optional extras.
If you are a business customer and ask to stop during the minimum term, the remaining committed payments normally remain due unless we agree otherwise or the law requires a different outcome.
5. After the minimum term
After the initial 12 months, Starter continues at £49 per month until cancelled. When we process a cancellation, we will confirm the effective date and any final payment due.
6. How to cancel
Email hello@kentwebsites.co.uk from the email address linked to your account and tell us the business name and service you want to cancel. We will confirm the request and the effective cancellation date.
7. Nothing here removes statutory rights
Nothing in this policy removes or restricts rights that cannot legally be excluded. This page should be read together with the Kent Websites Terms.
