KENT WEBSITES
Service Terms.
Plain-English terms for businesses using Kent Websites. Last updated 2 November 2026.
1. What we provide
We design, build and manage websites and related services for businesses. The exact package, price, included pages/features and any optional extras are confirmed before payment or before additional work starts.
2. Starter package and minimum term
The Starter package is £99 setup plus £49 per month. The first payment is £148, made up of the £99 setup fee and the first £49 monthly payment.
The Starter package has a 12-month minimum term. The minimum total over those first 12 months is £687, excluding any optional domain or business email extras. After the minimum term, the service continues at £49 per month until cancelled.
3. Optional extras
Optional extras such as domain names or business email are only added when chosen or agreed. Prices are shown or confirmed before you are charged. Premium or unusual domain names may cost more than the standard starting price.
4. What we need from you
You need to provide accurate business information, suitable content, logos, images and any access details reasonably needed to build or manage the website. Delivery estimates start once we have the payment and information needed to begin.
You must have permission to use any text, images, logos or other material you give us. You remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of your business claims, prices, regulated statements and other customer-facing content.
5. Reviews, changes and approval
We will give you an opportunity to review work before launch. Reasonable changes within the agreed package are included. Work outside the agreed scope may be quoted separately before it is carried out.
6. Website availability and third-party services
We take reasonable care to keep managed websites working, but websites depend on third-party hosting platforms, domain providers, payment providers and internet infrastructure. We cannot promise uninterrupted availability where an issue is outside our reasonable control.
7. Search engines and results
Where search or SEO work is included, we improve the website structure and search foundations. We do not guarantee a particular Google ranking, number of visitors, leads or sales.
8. Payments
Recurring payments are collected through the payment method used at checkout. You are responsible for keeping your payment details valid. If a payment fails, we may contact you and may suspend managed services if the account remains unpaid.
9. Cancellation, early start and refunds
You can ask to cancel by emailing hello@kentwebsites.co.uk. Our detailed Cancellation & Refund Policy forms part of these terms.
Kent Websites is intended for customers purchasing services wholly or mainly for their trade, business, craft or profession. Business customers do not normally have the statutory 14-day consumer cooling-off right that applies to qualifying consumer distance contracts.
If consumer cancellation rights apply to you, a qualifying online service contract normally has a 14-day cancellation period. If you expressly request that we start during that period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already supplied if you later cancel, where the law allows. Where the service has been fully performed following the legally required request and acknowledgement, the cancellation right may end as provided by law.
The Starter package has a 12-month minimum term. For business customers, if you ask to stop during that minimum term, the remaining committed payments normally remain due unless we agree otherwise or applicable law requires a different outcome. After the minimum term, the service continues monthly until cancelled.
Nothing in these terms removes or restricts any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
10. What happens when service ends
When a managed service ends, hosting, support and other included managed services may stop. We will explain any practical steps needed for your domain, website or content before closure. Third-party services purchased separately may have their own terms.
11. Liability
We are responsible for providing the agreed service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits or losses caused by information or material supplied by you or by third-party services outside our reasonable control.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future orders or where our service changes. Changes do not retrospectively alter an agreed minimum term or price unless you agree or the law requires it.
