How Kent Websites uses personal information. Last updated 2 November 2026.
1. Who we are
Kent Websites provides website design, website refresh and managed website services for businesses. For data protection purposes, Kent Websites is responsible for deciding how personal information collected through this service is used. Final legal trading entity details will be added once the business structure is confirmed.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, business type, website address, service/package interest, domain and business email choices, information supplied during onboarding, uploaded logos/images and messages you send us.
Payment card details are handled by the payment provider used at checkout; we do not need to store your full card details ourselves.
3. Why we use your information
We use information to answer enquiries, recommend a suitable service, set up and manage customer accounts, process orders, build and maintain websites, provide support, keep records, prevent misuse and meet legal or accounting obligations.
4. Our lawful bases
We mainly use personal information because it is necessary to take steps before entering into a contract or to perform a contract with you. We may also use information where we have a legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving the service, and where necessary to comply with legal obligations. If we use consent for optional marketing, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
5. Who we share information with
We only share information where needed to provide or operate the service. This can include website hosting and platform service providers, payment providers, domain or email providers, analytics/security providers, and trusted contractors or professional advisers where necessary.
6. International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the provider's applicable legal safeguards or recognised transfer arrangements where required.
7. How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, to provide ongoing service, resolve disputes and meet legal, tax or accounting requirements. Enquiry information that does not lead to an ongoing customer relationship is periodically reviewed and removed when it is no longer needed.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction, portability or to object to certain uses. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw consent.
To make a privacy request, email hello@kentwebsites.co.uk.
9. Complaints
If you are concerned about how we use personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
10. Cookies and analytics
The website and services used to operate it may use cookies or similar technology for essential functions, security, forms, login and checkout. Where consent is required for non-essential analytics, advertising or marketing cookies, appropriate consent controls will be used before those cookies are set. See our Cookie Policy for more information.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when the service, suppliers or legal requirements change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
